Our credit card partner, Collabria, recently identified a suspicious website, collabriacreditcards.life, which appears to be a phishing site designed to capture Collabria cardholder details.
While the site is not yet live, the placeholder site currently being displayed is likely to be modified to closely resemble Collabria's official website. The page description is identical to that of Collabria Financial.
At Collabria, the security of cardholders' information is of utmost importance, and they are committed to keeping you informed about potential risks. We want to assure you that the Collabria security team is actively working to address this risk and mitigate any potential harm to our cardholders.
We are asking our Collabria cardholders to take the following actions:
- Exercise caution when providing your Collabria credit card details online.
- Regularly review your credit card statements for any suspicious activity and promptly report any unauthorized transactions to Collabria.
- Only access the official Collabria websites and applications when managing your credit card accounts or submitting a card application. Avoid clicking on links from unknown sources. The following are Cornerstone's official Collabria websites and applications:

Cornerstone Credit Union is pleased to announce the recipients of Project Cornerstone funding for 2023. Five community projects have been chosen to receive a share of $100,000 – the most ever given out in a single year through the annual Project Cornerstone program.
The 2023 recipients are:
- Theodore & District Recreation Board – $45,000 for Theodore Recreation Complex renovations
- Town of Arcola – $25,000 for kitchen upgrades at Prairie Place Complex
- Rose Valley & District Recreation Complex – $12,000 for safety upgrades and repairs
- Melville Curling Club – $10,000 for improvements to the curling club’s lobby
- Yorkton Minor Hockey – $8,000 for a dressing room expansion at Kinsmen Arena
“These facilities are vital to their communities, and we are happy to help fund these projects,” said Cornerstone Credit Union CEO Doug Jones. “We look forward to following their progress and celebrating with them as they complete the projects.”
Over 70 applications were submitted after Project Cornerstone applications opened in the spring. Eligible community groups were invited to apply for up to $100,000 for capital projects. Project Cornerstone funding is intended to build, expand, and upgrade facilities or develop the quality of life in local communities.
Since 2006, Project Cornerstone has awarded $551,000 to 46 community projects across the region. Applications for funding will open again in early 2024.
About the Projects
Theodore & District Recreation Board
Theodore & District Recreation Board will receive $45,000 for renovations to the Theodore Recreation Complex. The project involves replacing the flooring in the main lobby, public washrooms, and dressing rooms on the main level. Washrooms on the second level of the complex will also be upgraded.
No updates have been completed to this area of the complex since it was built in 1990.
“Recreation board members and numerous others spend countless volunteer hours maintaining the complex, hosting fundraising events, and ensuring there is recreation for all age groups to enjoy in Theodore and surrounding communities,” said recreation board member Jerold Sperling. “We pride ourselves in welcoming visitors and work hard to provide a clean and well maintained complex.”
Town of Arcola
The Town of Arcola will receive $25,000 for kitchen upgrades at the Prairie Place Complex. The renovations will improve both kitchens in the facility with new equipment, countertops, and flooring.
These kitchens are used on a regular basis year-round, serving residents and visitors for hockey, figure skating, lacrosse, weddings, fundraisers, and other events.
“The arena kitchen is one of the primary sources of revenue for the Prairie Place Complex and is completely run by volunteers,” said Vanessa Dahl with the Town of Arcola. “Keeping this and the kitchen on the hall side up and running keeps our building open.”
The complex operates mainly through volunteerism, so many community members will help with labour to complete this project.
Rose Valley & District Recreation Complex
Rose Valley & District Recreation Complex will receive $12,000 for safety upgrades.
LED lighting will be installed over the ice surface and existing lights throughout the building will be replaced. The hockey board kick plate around the ice surface will also be replaced.
“Local members of the community volunteer their time endlessly to fundraisers, maintenance, and daily operations of the rink,” said Meghan Prosko. “As a winter-driven community, this project will greatly increase the use of the rink, providing revenue for future projects and improvements.”
Melville Curling Club
Melville Curling Club will receive $10,000 for renovations to the curling club’s lobby. Four lobby windows and damaged ceiling tiles will be replaced. New LED pot lights will also be installed.
The windows and electrical work will be completed by professionals. Members of the curling club and the community are volunteering their time to help with the project.
“Not only does our program provide entertainment for the general public, it provides physical exercise, mental wellness, and fellowship for our curlers,” said the club's Gerri Martin. “If we maintain our building and make necessary improvements, our facility will continue to be available for many years to come.”
Yorkton Minor Hockey
Yorkton Minor Hockey will receive $8,000 to assist with a dressing room expansion at Kinsmen Arena.
The project will reduce the size of the arena’s administration office in order to expand the size of the dressing room, allowing more space for hockey players and recreational skaters.
“Our Under-7 players are currently dressing in the hallway. Expanding the room will provide a more welcoming, roomy environment, especially for the smaller kids who require assistance from parents,” said executive director Kristen Khadiken.
Currently, resources and activity for new AgriFoodTech businesses are largely concentrated in Saskatoon and Regina. Cornerstone has announced plans to develop a rural innovation hub in Eastern Saskatchewan after consulting with ag producers and agribusiness throughout the region.
An initial step in Cornerstone’s plan is hiring a Director, Rural Tech Activation. This role will focus on developing the rural AgriFoodTech sector in Eastern Saskatchewan and improving coordination with the emerging ecosystem in Regina and Saskatoon.
“Cornerstone wants to be the go-to resource and trusted advisor for entrepreneurs and agrifood businesses throughout our region,” said CEO Doug Jones. “The director’s role will be to lead that focus, while helping producers navigate change and embrace new technologies for their operations.”
Startup entrepreneurs are attracted to the resources, talent, and funding available in major centres. But fresh new ideas – like our farmers’ crops – need time and space to germinate and grow. And that's where rural Saskatchewan communities come in, Jones said, supported by Cornerstone Credit Union.
Cornerstone's vision is based on its commitment to agriculture and agribusiness members. Additionally, the development of a rural tech hub is a part of the Government of Saskatchewan's Growth Plan 2020-2030.
Cornerstone Credit Union (CCU) has committed $2,000 to support the rapidly escalating crisis in Ukraine and are waiving member wire fees to Ukraine and surrounding regions, including Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova. “As of 9:00 am EST on February 28, the Appeal has raised over $4 million from a broad base of supporters across Canada – provincial governments, family foundations, community organizations, credit unions, public and private companies, and thousands of individual donors,” said Orest Sklierenko, President and CEO of CUF. “I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from every corner of Canada, who share the horror of the war being waged by Russia against the Ukrainian people.”
CDF Canada is actively raising much-needed funds for the people of Ukraine and calling on the cooperative community across Canada to help. The beneficiaries are more than 2,000 vulnerable women, including Internally Displaced Person living in the Kyiv, Kharkov, and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts of Ukraine. They have already been impacted by the 2014 invasion and this is now yet another blow to already vulnerable people.

We’re very excited to help out with such a worthwhile project that will benefit the community of Ituna and surrounding areas for many years to come.”
Along with this financial contribution, employees of Cornerstone are actively involved in fundraising efforts for this project, and many other projects in the community. Ituna managers, Curtis Malysh and Angela Fazakas says, “Being actively involved through volunteer work is just as important to us as providing funding. We want to help in whatever way we can.”
Built in 1961, the Arena has served the community well for many years but is now in desperate need of a retrofit or it will be a safety risk to operate.
The Ituna Arena Cooperative has a two-phase plan to retrofit the Arena, ensuring that residents will be able to enjoy a modern, functional, and energy-efficient Arena for many years. Jack Shymko, Chair, Ituna Arena Cooperative Building Committee, comments, “The Ituna Arena is incredibly important to the rural community of Ituna and the surrounding rural municipalities and First Nations communities. The Arena brings the community together for recreation, exercise, and community building.”
Tim Pilkey, Farm & Business Advisor, also comments, “Ituna is a strong community, and we have built a great working relationship with the Town of Ituna. We’re looking forward to seeing this project come to fruition.”
Cornerstone Credit Union is a member-owned and community-minded credit union, providing support to hundreds of local community groups, events and organizations on an annual basis. Adding to donations already received from the town of Ituna, RM of Ituna Bon Accord and past fundraising efforts, this project has now raised over $1.6M. An additional one million is needed to complete phase 1 in 2022. Support from the community and businesses is critical to ensuring this project is completed successfully.
